I’ve enjoyed a few different styles and variations of clothing from Zanie Kids the past few months and since my interactions with them the consensus is: positive and happily impressed! However, liking a brand doesn’t mean they hit the mark 100% of the time and TBH, this was one of those items that missed for me. In full disclosure this was ordered for 10 months old boy- Although it describes romper as unisex with some of the prints.. The balloon sleeve was a no go! With the tuck and pleat gathered seam.. these are very sweet and look every bit the part for little girls- not so much for boys!specifically looking for something lightweight I was anticipating this could meet our needs.. only material is quite thin with a stiff feeling- not soft as cotton usually is, especially for infants.. almost feels as if material has been treated? In photo included- held to light, you clearly can see my entire hand inside of the romper. I imagine this will soften up over washing and Could be a fun romper for little girls if so!All attention to details is there in stitching and finishing and something I find universal on all of their items- it’s what draws me back to the brand. The snap front is a fun detail to give this a bit of flair- But, the reinforced 4 snap crotch gives one easy diaper access for changing.. (those x4 snaps are the only needed to open when changing baby!) the Zanie Kids brand is good this way- they make Smart, well thought out and practical designs.Although I won’t be using this romper for our little guy- I see where it has merit + a few shortcomings. If ordering, I recommend doing for a girl (if sleeve style feels feminine to you!) If between sizes- order up! These tend to have shrinkage- it’s minimal but, all over.. Plus, the fact this style romper can be worn a bit looser without looking sloppy- it’s worth going bigger vs. smaller, you’ll get more mileage for sure!I hope this info can help your decision.. feel free to let me know! Sizing for reference: we ordered 18-24mo. for little guy turning x1yr who weighs 21lb. He is in 65% for height and this romper fit him with little room to spare!
